National Fertility Awareness Week

2 – 6 November 2026 | #NFAW #FertilityUnfiltered

2026 Theme: Fertility Unfiltered

This year, we’re creating space for more honest, open, unfiltered conversations about fertility – the real stories, difficult questions, things people aren’t always told, and the realities that can sit behind the statistics.

National Fertility Awareness Week is the biggest opportunity of the year to boost awareness of fertility issues, across the sector.

Join us and a collective of individuals and organisations to make the 2026 campaign as collaborative and far-reaching as possible.

Fertility Unfiltered

The 2026 National Fertility Awareness Week campaign is an invitation to any person or organisation who feels ready to start or join a collective conversation about the true lived-experiences of those with fertility challenges. We want as many people to take part as possible, by sharing experiences, challenging assumptions and taking action to develop better fertility support across the UK.

Maybe you’re personally affected by fertility challenges. Or, perhaps you’re supporting someone who is as an employer or family member. You could be a healthcare professional, community organisation or simply someone who believes fertility deserves greater understanding – we invite you to get involved.

Five days. Five conversations.
One call to action.

Monday 2nd November

Fertility Paths

Unfiltered reality: There is more than one fertility journey.

Fertility experiences are as diverse as the people who experience them. This day shines a light on the many different routes people may take – and the experiences that can often go unseen.

We want to hear from you, give you space to share your story, and create an awareness campaign that amplifies your unfiltered experience.

Get involved

Share your story

Complete the sentence:

“I’m joining the NFAW campaign by sharing my fertility story, unfiltered…”

You can share publicly, on social media, share it with us anonymously, or simply use the prompt to start a conversation with someone you trust.

Fertility at Work

Unfiltered reality: our fertility issues don’t work 9 – 5.

Fertility challenges can have a huge impact on working lives.

We’re asking employers and employees:

Would your workplace pass the Fertility Unfiltered test?

Does your organisation:

  • Have a fertility or reproductive health policy?
  • Create safe opportunities and spaces to talk?
  • Offer reasonable flexibility for appointments and treatment?
  • Equip managers to respond confidently and appropriately?
  • Recognise that fertility can affect partners as well as the person undergoing treatment?

Get involved

Choose one thing your workplace could do better.

Organisations can use NFAW to start a conversation, review their policies, educate managers, introduce a new form of support, and fundraise for a fertility charity of your choice.

And if you’re an employee, tell us:

“One thing my employer could do to support fertility is…”

Male Fertility

Unfiltered reality: We don’t talk about men’s fertility enough.

Fertility isn’t just a women’s issue. Men can experience fertility challenges, uncertainty, grief, anxiety and isolation too – but these experiences continue to be missing from conversations.

This day is about challenging myths, increasing understanding and making conversations about male fertility more normal.

Get involved

Start a conversation.

Share a fact, challenge a myth or tell us:

“One thing I wish I’d known about male fertility is…”

You don’t have to share your own experience to show your support.

The Emotional Toll

Unfiltered reality: Fertility can be much harder emotionally than many people realise

Fertility challenges can affect every part of life – relationships, work, identity, mental wellbeing and our sense of the future.

We want to recognise the emotional reality of fertility journeys and champion access to meaningful psychological and peer support.

Get involved

Tell us what support means to you.

Complete the sentence:

“What I needed to hear was…”

Or take an hour for yourself and support someone else.

Give an Hour

Take one hour during NFAW to do something that supports your own wellbeing – a walk, a coffee with a friend, some quiet time, or simply switching off.

Then consider donating the value of that hour to Fertility Action.

Take an hour for yourself. Give an hour of support to someone else.

Removing the filter and taking Fertility Action

Awareness isn’t enough. It’s time for action.

We’ve spent the week listening to experiences, challenging assumptions and talking about what needs to change.

What action can you take?

Taking Fertility Action could mean:

  1. Share your story, insight or expertise
Help someone else feel less alone. Use the hashtag #FertilityUnfiltered
  2. Start a conversation
Talk about fertility with your friends, family or colleagues. Ask or answer the questions people might be too afraid or embarrassed to ask.
  3. Ask for better support
At work, in healthcare or in your community.
  4. Speak up for change
Support campaigns and encourage decision-makers to listen to people affected by fertility challenges.
  5. Fundraise or donate
Help Fertility Action turn awareness into practical support, education and advocacy.

Help Us Take More Fertility Action

Get involved through fundraising

You don’t have to run a marathon to make a difference.

During National Fertility Awareness Week, we’re inviting individuals, workplaces, community groups and organisations to fundraise to support us (or the fertility charity of your choice!) so that, collectively, we can continue bringing fertility issues into the spotlight, and supporting those living with fertility challenges.

Choose an activity that works for you and raise whatever you can.

  • Take on a ‘10K for Fertility’ challenge

The £1,600 Challenge

Did you know 1 in 6 UK couples are impacted by fertility challenges?

We’re asking organisations to challenge themselves to raise £1,600 during National Fertility Awareness Week for those 1 in 6 couples.

Bring your team together, choose your challenge and see how far you can go.

And if your organisation wants to make a longer-term commitment to fertility support, ask us about becoming a Fertility Action Corporate Supporter.

Sponsor a Conversation

Your donation can help make fertility easier to talk about.

Fertility Action exists to improve support, education and advocacy for people affected by fertility challenges.

You can help us turn conversations into action by fundraising or making a donation during NFAW.

Every contribution helps us:

  • Keep professionally supervised peer support available to people who need it.
  • Add and expand professional support courses.
  • Train, supervise and develop our growing network of facilitators.
  • Create evidence-informed resources for patients, professionals, educators and employers.
  • Strengthen the patient voice in fertility policy and healthcare.
  • Extend our support across all four nations of the UK.
  • Fundraise for our new support phone line we hope to launch in 2027.

You don’t have to have a personal fertility story to take action.

You can simply decide that fertility deserves to be talked about – and supported.
